I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have had plan this event. We Made $306 for Tonga and 288 cans of food for the food bank!! How Awesome Is That?! Being President of the Polynesian Club is a hard job. And literally it has to be one of your top priorities to be successful. Through this journey of being a leader I have learned to confront others, step up, delegate things, go through confrontation and constructive criticism, being yelled at, giving up time and energy and sleep, taking a leadership class, printing and making flyers, tears and long talks, due dates, conducting meetings about every week, call outside sources, make activities, and so much more. I didn't think being a leader could be so hard and I know at the end of all this trial and hard work, it will be very worth it.
For those of you who are reading this we are having a Luau ft. ATOP on April 12th, a Saturday. If you are interested in coming to see everything I and the Polynesian Club goes through to present to the public then message me. :) Tickets are $15 for show and dinner and just $5 for the show. If you are a student buy your ticket at student life for $10 on discount. You definitely won't want to miss it!
Last year's Luau was so much fun! It was my first time dancing since I was in Elementary school dancing hawaiian. I struggled a bit at every practice and you would think I was a coordinated dancer, because of my athletic ability on the court. Nope. I am not. I turned out to be alright and loved every clumsy moment and step I had. It was so much fun and I a lot of hard work. I am very sad to say that this year the club isn't performing, but with all the stress I have gone through so much already, I am sort of glad I have the break.
Also, Today marks 9 months with my amazing boyfriend! Things I love about Lance: Seriously Lance is the most thoughtful guy out there. He is my best friend. We literally can sit by each other, do homework for hours and not speak to each other and be totally content. We play fun run together and do bets on who wins. Haha for example, we were going to subway and Lance lost, so he had to buy me cookies. :) Haha he is so hard working. He is the one who tells me to do my homework and to never give up. He calms me. He is my athletic trainers and buys me food, he helps me eat healthy. He keeps me spiritually on track and always wants to kneel when we say prayers. I love him so much. Happy 9 months! :)
Even though Snow College is a small town, big things really do happen. Make your way here on April 12th for an amazing Polynesian performance and..to see me of course! :) I would love if you could make it. Keep smiling everyone and have a blessed day.
P.s. I have not written on my blog in a long time, but now I will be consistently on here given that I find myself really happy when I speak and write my thoughts. Love you all. :)
