Never Give Up

☼ Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

☼ If you can't accept me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.

I think I fell in love with this song..☼

☼ Little Bits.

Here is just a few bits of my life that I have enjoyed these past few weeks:

Thee Snowman:
My ward this year for Christmas is doing a snowman game. You have to steal the snowman from someone's porch, write your name on the paper, and then put it on your porch immediately after. You can get people out as well if they are trying to steal it from you, but if they are on the sidewalk they are safe. I have enjoyed stealing it a ton: hahaha.

School:
School has been a fun journey! I love having so m
any classes with friends and making new ones is the journey of it all! I really love being a brave! My Family:
I have hung with my family a ton. For Thanksgiving we went to Wyoming to enjoy some good food and time together! It was cold [and if y
ou really know me, you would know i hate cold weather], but it was such a fun time! :] My mom and I go out a lot together and I enjoy spending time with her.
Conditi
oning:
In Girl's Conditioning we are lifting tons of weight! Sqwating, benching, lifting, calf raises, jumping.etc. Lots and Lots and Lots. I tweeked
my back, so It's kinda bugging me. It's sore in some parts and I find myself trying to pop it a lot, but there is no help in it. But it's helping me a ton and I can't wait for volleyball season next year!
Friends:
SAJA watched a movie together Yesterday! Except Jamie was busy, so we missed her a ton! I enjoyed hanging out with them! Also, I love being with my other friends, like Whit, Sarah, Lexis, Holly, Erin.etc. You know who you are! I love you all equally! :] We have some good times!

Christmas Season:
I enjoy the snow [it's pretty], I enjoy the lights, I enjoy the music, I enjoy the shopping, I enjoy the treats, I enjoy the holiday movies, I enjoy the spirit of it all, I enjoy Santa Clause, I enjoy the love of everyone, but most importantly of my Savior. He has died for me and was born for all of us. To build His church on the Earth, and I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel back on the Earth after the dark ages. I enjoy his love and I am so grateful for everything he has given me. I love this Christmas Season and I love Him. ☼

BRAVES 2010 ☼

Bountiful Braves
are doing sooo well this fall in sports!!

Tomorrow football vs. Mountain Crest in Semi-finals for the state championships.
Tennis took State!
Girls Soccer did very well h
itting playoffs.
Swimming made playoffs doing awesome! :]

Drill Team took State Championship last year!! Way to go girls. Sneak peek on just how good they are at the top!

Volleyball took 6th in State, not placing in 9 years!
It was wonderful to be apart of it and be able to cheer B-Town Hoops as we won 6th place. It felt like winning 1st place, because our team never gave up. We went to the tournament losing our first game, but that didn't bring us down. The varsity
team picked it up and showed what Braves Volleyball is really all about. I love my team and can't wait for next season and to start and work with the girls that I love! :]
I'm proud to be a BRAVE

Missionary Week ☼

This week for the 5th ward in the West Bountiful Stake got the chance to have missionary week. For many years I have had friends who say they are having missionary week. They say they wake up at 5:30 in the morning, and they also get to dress up everyday. Our missionary week turned out a little different then most wards do it. We got a mission call that displayed our companion or companions and the place we get to serve in (or the people in our ward we are called to serve.) I have had the experience this week to serve with Kaylee White and Carlie Dejong and we serve in the Russ and Zetha Parker mission. I have learned to grow them even more. Kaylee and Carlie and I have been a good team and we may not be the closest of friends, but this week I have learned more about them closely and I have learned the true work of service from within them. Visiting Zetha really helped this week. Zetha is one magnificent women and her light shines so strong within her home. She is a knowledgable women of the spirit and of the gospel and she is also my next door neighbor! It's just a wonderful journey to serve and as you serve, you are served as well. I have felt the impression of the spirit and I know serving others is the service to your Lord.

I am truly happy right now.

Someday, maybe, I will go on a full-time LDS mission.

But Today-I can be one.

Through thick and thin: I can change myself and change others for good.

Forever Strong ☼

My family has a new motto: Forever Strong. Through all the trials we have been through, we know that our Heavenly Father truly does there. We have experienced a miracle in our family and that has made us that much closer, that has made me who I am today.

This weekend was unbelievably great! :]

Varsity Volleyball Tournament: I had the opportunity to play varsity and I am so grateful I had the chance this year to challenge myself while playing. I sure hope Melissa will be able to play soon due to a bad back, she has been out for the weekend. We can't wait til her and Rachael get back in and play in their spot! :]

Preston's Baby Blessing: My cousin has the chubbiest cheeks and is a gorgeous [or as Uncle Nathaniel might want me to say, handsome] little boy. I enjoyed spending lots of time with extended family in Rexburg Idaho, being able to spend, and listen to Soft Sunday Sounds with my one, forever family as we drove home together.[Four Generations]

Be by the temple: Rexburg temple is so pretty! BYU-Idaho would be wonderful to attend, so I could see that beautiful temple every day!

I am sure loving to grow everyday! :]

Mormon Messages ☼

On facebook tonight I came upon a video from the LDS fan page on a story of a man who survived 911 by running from the twin towers. His life was filled with pain still years after, because he asks, "Why me? Why did I survive?"--Life is given trials to become better, to love others, and to change ourselves. I have been watching so many of these video messages of personal stories from LDS.org and I am in loveee!! I have been crying, because of the spirit I have felt and I feel I love life even more. :]

The Journey ☼

The work. So much work.

Junior year so far has not been bad at all! :] I have made new friends, experienced new classes, and have seen more miracles happen. The work of school is no different then the journey of life. I wake up every morning hoping to be prepared for an AP American exam, like every morning I should wake up ready to reject the temptations of Satan. I wanna be the girl who Satan thinks "Ohh noo, she's up!" when I wake up every morning. I should go to school and not only walk down the halls to go to every class, but walk down the path of my life to every new trial and endure it like the bell will ring for lunch time in no time! Like the sun will come up. I wanna be the person who walks by people and they think the sun has just risen. To let my own light shine and be an example for others is an example to myself.

This passed Sunday we had Family Home Evening at Aunt Liz's house and Uncle Nathan talked about service and the experiences he has had. Service should not be a required work we are forced to do, but a work everyday-just like school-that changes ourself and others for the better. When I do service it makes me feel like a new kind of person.
I remember about 4 or 5 years ago, the youth in the 5th ward [pretty much the best ward! :] ] went and bought clothes and items that all of us NEED and don't even think once of NEEDing it, because we already have the things we NEED, but just WANT more. This family that we were shopping for didn't have things they NEEDed and so what they wanted is what they needed. Christmas day was a bright day for that family. The brightness of their smiles shined when they saw the gifts we brought to their poor, wretched down home. The tile in the kitchen needed work and they needed furniture of their own. To see the little kids get gifts that they wanted was something that has stuck with me all these years, because they got what they needed. I hope to become like them someday, as humble as them, and ask for what I need....not only for myself, but for others, to help others. Ask for things in need. In prayer or otherwise.

Life is the journey. School is apart of it and I can't wait to experience just one lil bit of it this year! :]

hahaha this picture just cracks me up! Always give a smile!

First Friend Date ☼

This past Tuesday I had a fun time with many friends at my house. Holly and I wanted to plan a group date for after I turned 16, so I thought and thought of what we should do. ACE OF CAKES!
Why not have an activity where all of us can stregthen friendships, get to know each other, work as a team, have fun, and exercise, AND EAT all in one?! So we did a 'Get To Know You' quiz, and ace of cakes and water games. It was pretty pretty fun!

I had a great time with my best buddy, Adam. We made a swamp cake and winged through it and when it was time to cut the cake, we cut it wedding style not knowing it at first that we were going to, and we were SO emotional. Hahaha, well Adam was. So, before everyone left we did group pictures and why not just do the prom picture as well when you already have done the wedding pic!? It was SO fun and I loved it. :] Thanks Adam!

UPDATE

Wowww!! I sure have not wrote on my blog for a while :] I am just on the road and pretty busy!
Just a little update:
As you can see from my last post we had youth conference. It was the best experience in the world and I loved it tooo death!I have hung with friends at my house a couple times during these past two weeks. It has been tons of fun and I love my friends! I hope everyone who comes feels comfortable and makes a new friends, because everyone deserves to meet someone new every once in a while. I love making new friends! :] We had a fire pit in my backyard and played get to know you games and getting to know new people was really fun! :]
This weekend I am leaving for Wyoming! Can't wait to see Misty! :] and all my family! :]
I promise to update more and I hope I can be an example to whoever surrounds me. I know everything that I have come from my Father in Heaven and I know without his atonement and the gospel in my life I would be no where. I would not be able to get the opportunity to help other people and to grow and change myself. I love Him and all that he has done for me. ☼

☼ Sweet Sixteen and Friends

June 22: I turned 16 and my day couldn't have gotten better!

I woke up and got ready to go out to lunch with my Mom. Lani went the day before, but since it was ACTUALLY the day of her birthday I invited her to come along. We went to ihop and ate a good brunch :] Later we went shopping and got Lani a camera. Mine won't come til tomorrow, so I have been using Lani's :] hahaha She's thee best. I got home when usually the first instinct is to go on facebook [which is not good] and my mom told me to go to my room! I was very confused and had no clue why, but she told me to just go, so I did with a onry attitude. To my surprise I found my room decorated with balloons, confetti, and presents. My best friends decorated it with love and I started to cry with Joy. I got a lemon creme pie from Marie Calendars instead of a cake, because I have been eating so much junk food the past couple of days.

[My decorated room][All the balloons][My sister Leilani and I][Lighting the candles][I got frosting on my shirt!][Making a wish][Blowing][I saw my trek brother and he made my day]

I am so grateful for my mom who brought me everywhere and for my dad who is always there. I always wonder about the future and how everything is going to turn out. I wonder about who I will marry. If I will have kids. Where I am going to end up. If I will even die before I'm 30. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for me. He knows my whole life and he knows where I'll end up, so being beside him is a blessing I should cherish through out my whole journey. I am excited for the future and if it doesn't go my way I know that what ever His way is, It'll be the right way and everything happens for a reason :]

Yesterday Holly and Sarah brought me out to lunch for my birthday. They are the greatest friends in the world.
