Never Give Up

☼ Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

☼ If you can't accept me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.

I think I fell in love with this song..☼

My New Year's Resolution for 2010 is to tone a little more, eat healthier on my volleyball diet, get more fit, spend more time with my siblings and help someone everyday. I love how everyone makes new goals for the new year and it's a good thing to keep them! The more we work harder for something we want to accomplish, the more we are happier!

What are your goals?

I LOVE VOLLEYBALL SO MUCH!!
One of my team-mates added this to facebook and all of them relate to me. It's kinda fun to read if you're a volleyball player, yet If you don't play volleyball..this is a way to get to know someone who does :]

You Know You're a Volleyball Player When...

When someone says “shag…” the first thing you think of is volleyball.
When you’re taller than most of your friends.
When the words “outside”, “middle” and “opposite” mean the world to you.
When you realize your thighs no longer fit into your jeans.
When you could probably beat almost anyone in squats.
When a ball is hurled at your face, you either set, pass, or hit it.
When you know what a libero is/does.
When you have more than one pair of knee pads.
When you get angry when someone says, “volleyball isn’t a hard sport.” -This one is VERY true!
When you own at least five shirts that have “volleyball”, “hit” or a drawing of a volleyball on them.
When you know how to tape yourself.
When you know why ankle braces are a necessity.
When you have injuries on your knees, elbows, ankles, neck, shoulders, back, head………
When you’ve perfected drawing a volleyball. And taught others how to draw it.
When you’ve tried setting into a basketball ring.
When you know a pancake is more than just something to eat.
When you think TV should show more volleyball than any other sport.
When you know your vertical. And always hope somehow it gets higher.
When you’ve had at least one ball hit you in the face.
When you can fill in a score sheet - all of it.
When you have to admit that you like those “ACE!” cheers.
When you see a volleyball, and you have to touch it.
When at one point in your life, you’ve had knee problems.
When you know what those “other” lines in the gym are for.
When you don’t dribble balls, you smack them with the palm of your hand.
When you own a pair of volleyball shoes.
When you know what 4-2, 6-2, and 5-1 are.
When you can dive on a gym floor.
When you find yourself wearing spandex even when you're not on the court.
When you see a tall person and think, “She/He would make a great volleyball player”.
When people ask you what sports you play and then say, “That’s where you catch and throw the ball isn’t it?”
When asked if you can hang out during the weekend you say " I can't I have a tournament."
When you know to shave your armpits before a game… and gross out when the blockers on the other team don’t.
When you're not afraid of falling.
When you dive after any sort of ball.
When you instinctively know not to open anyones bag with kneepads in it.
When you’ve driven miles to practice and to tournaments.
When you either laugh or get really mad when you see other people trying to play volleyball.
When you get really upset when someone kicks a volleyball.
When volleyball is more important … than anything else that you have to do.
When you have permanent floor-burn marks.
When you’ve wanted to kill your coach at one point.
Two words. “Get low”.
When you know what “sideout” means. Or you don’t, but you yell it anyway.
When you think it’s normal to have balls deliberately hit at your face.
When gym volleyball isn’t volleyball, and you end up yelling at everyone because they’re doing it wrong.
When you can put your hand up to a volleyball net and tell someone how close it is to the height it’s supposed to be.
When you think that spandex are easily the most comfortable thing in the world.
When you get really frustrated with the line judges when they aren't paying attention but then you do the same thing.
When there's always that one girl on the opposing team that you wanna slap in the face.
When you're vocabulary consists of "Mine Mine Mine" and " I go, I go"
When you try to intimidate the other team during warm up.
When you read " You know you're a volleyball player when.." just for fun.
When you know that volleyball is 90% mental and 10% physical.
When you know that a kill is the best feeling in the world

About Me ☼ && My Family

I can't really think of anything right now, since my life has been just the usual schedule, so I decided to talk about me and my family..just so you can get to know us a little better.

My loving family has been doing great lately! This last Saturday we had a whole clean-the-home thingy and it feels a ton better in this home of ours. Later that night we babysat Cruze, Enza and Gauge, so I think it was our excuse to at least clean our house! haha, but we need to get to it on our chores.

My sister and I, Leilani, are now on the same club volleyball team (She moved up) and Leilani is doing wonderful to stay up with us. I sprained my ankle on a trampoline (HHAHA..it sounds like me), so I'm out for a week or two more now. Dawson loves being with his friends. Everywhere I look, there's a new friend around. He just ended basketball and enjoyed football a couple months ago.

Dashani and Anisi are two peas in a pod! They are the bestest of friends and love to play in the snow, slide down the stairs, or anything they can put their hands on. I enjoy being President in Seminary for this term, but I have had some rough times..in the end, I know that Heavenly Father is there for us and we can look up to him.

My parents..Oh my parents!! They are way busy. My mom takes care of my greatgrandma, Mama, on my Dad's side and she loves the joy and spirit of it all. My Dad is organizing the stake basketball tournament and stress comes on! The joy of being with my family cannot be explained.

I love to laugh. My friends know that, yet I hope my extended family can see that soon :]

My family loves tacos. Well, I do most of the time!!

I don't think I am enjoying this snow so much, because of how I am gonna start driving real soon, but it's very pretty and the Bountiful Temple I can see from this window is extroadinary.

I love green and volleyball. Being on the highschool team was a joy and the feeling of being on the court with my 5 best friends is the best feeling in the whole entire world.

My family enjoyed putting on Christmas decorations lately! It's different then it has been the other times, except for outside, but inside is great!

FUNNY STORY!!!
So about a week ago, I asked my brother Anisi what Christmas is all about and he said "SANTA!" and I told him the story about our savior and how he was born and Christmas isn't all about Santa Clause and gifts, yet I asked him again and he said "SANTA!"....I told him the story again and asked and he finally said, "Jesus Christ". That feeling of the spirit brought me a whole pack of joy! When I asked him what was in the sky, he said "Clouds!!!!"..I finally gave up :]

I hope everyone enjoys this Christmas season.

The Christmas Season

This Christmas Season has started and there's snow!!! It is amazingly pretty and usually every winter I hate the snow, but now I'm pretty glad it's there. The pretty winter white and how it just gives more Christmas spirit--ahhh! :] it is just beautiful, but then again.....after Christmas, I hope it leaves.
I am trying to decide what I should get my family members. I'm thinking a piece of coal, so..who knows. Also, my friends!! Lately, I've just been in the mood to give. Everyone should be in the mood to give. Don't you feel good when you notice other people happy when you do something kind for them?! Let's all make a goal to ask "what did you give?" instead of "what did you get?" this great and wonderful Christmas season! ☼
